    Numbats are now considered endangered and are only found in small pockets in Western Australia now.  They live on only one type of food and that's termites. Termites, termites, termites -they can eat up to 20,000 a day! To be able to find 20,000 termites a day, numbats need to be active when the termites are active.  Their predators are mainly foxes and cats and due to habitat loss and fragmentation from land clearing they are vulnerable to birds of prey such as the Wedge-tailed Eagles and Falcons.
